Board Minutes - June 2, 2020

Minutes from the January 16, 2020 board meeting was read and a motion was made by Barbara to accept the minutes, seconded by Judy; Motion carried

Board meeting scheduled for March 27, 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Financial Statements for April 2020 were presented and discussed. Majors expenses throughout the school year, as discussed at previous meeting may cause the FTE to be over budget, but the undesignated reserve will cover the difference.

COVID-19 - The school year ended on March 13, 2020 due to the pandemic. Teachers prepared take home packets during this time. Once they were returned the teachers graded them and recorded grades. Also the teachers made contact with their students via virtual media, text, phone calls and Remind app. The plan for next year as of today is to begin school as normal August 10, 2020. But plans are changing daily with in the state of Florida.
