BOARD MINUTES
JULY 25, 2022

Members Present: Judy Benton, Barbara Locke, Ruthann Ross

Meeting called to order

Minutes were read and discussed - Motion by Judy to approve minutes as read and seconded by Barbara; Motion carried

Board members were given the information needed to complete the 2 hour refresher Board Training.

2022-23 school year -

• All positions are filled. Lola Michelle Wilson is out of field for ESOL
• Finances - A plan was presented to allow the district to keep our Safe School Allocation ($14,404) and our Mental Health Allocation ($7,817) and the district would provide services as needed in both areas and Whispering Winds Charter School would fall under their state plans. A motion was made by Ruthann to accept and seconded by Judy; motion carried.
• Salary - Governor DeSantis passed a bill stating all employees who were not instructional teachers would make $15 per hour - WWCS will increase all employees who are not teachers or admin to $15.00 if their current salary is not this amount effective August 1, 2022. Motion was made by Ruthann to raise the salaries and seconded by Judy; motion carried.
• Salary adjustment - Angela Jordan would split her salary 20% Food Service - 80% FTE
• The plan for the TSIA monies was presented - Judy made a motion to accept the plan and seconded by Barbara; motion carried.
